Het is weer tijd voor tentamens en dat betekent veel lezen voor mij. Soms kom ik eigenlijk best grappige stukken tegen, eentje wil ik even snel hier plaatsen voor ik weer verder ga. (De tekst gaat over het maken van schalen en surveys)

Individual words are not the only sources of item ambiguity. Entire sentences can have more than one meaning. I have actually seen one survey of adolescent sexual behavior that included an item to assess parental education. Given the context of the survey as a whole, the wording was unfortunate: "How far did your mother go in school?"
